Updating to bios
Restart your computer and press or hold down the appropriate key to enter your system BIOS. However it may be F2 or F8 on some laptops and desktop systems.
You can also locate your current BIOS while in Windows.
Leave the stick plugged in to your computer and then restart the system.
Upon restart, enter the BIOS again using the method above.
Remember to back up your existing BIOS before beginning.
After a check for compatibility the update should be ready. Once it’s completed you can use the methods above to check the BIOS version number to confirm your update was a success.
Q-Flash may also have the option to “Save BIOS to Drive,” and this will make it a lot easier than copying over all of your settings by hand.
Once you’ve done this, boot into your system and navigate to Gigabyte’s main website.
Proper updates will keep your motherboard running smoothly and will work out any issues that the manufacturer has noted on your motherboard.
Gigabyte motherboards are easy to update, and you’ll be able to navigate to Gigabyte’s official website to see if there are any recent bios upgrades available.
