Match and dating site
As a new generation of dating apps like Tinder, Bumble, Coffee Meets Bagel and Hinge took over, the old-school dating site managed to survive by launching its own app.
Match is now owned by IAC's Match Group Inc., which also runs Tinder, OKCupid, Plenty of Fish and Hinge.
Since then, Match’s member database has only surged upwards, and more and more users are still signing up today.
"Match's mission has always been around relationships and bringing people together.
We want to go beyond just being an app on your phone," said Match CEO Hesam Hosseini in an interview with Engadget.
When you decide to skip, you will be presented with the next profile. There are extensive search filters on this feature which are: gender, age, location, interests, looks, personal information, and lifestyle. You can save your search queries, and you can also customize how you want the search results to be displayed according to a certain category.
Besides sending messages, premium-paying members have two more features that go with their subscription: Match Phone Match Phone allows you to call the other user through a custom number assigned by Match dating site.
